FAQ

Quick answers to the most common cosmetic tattoo questions.

Cosmetic tattooing is semi-permanent. The pigment is placed into the upper layers of the skin, so it naturally fades over time. Refreshes are generally needed anywhere from 12–24 months to maintain colour and shape. We’ll discuss a plan together to keep your cosmetic tattoo looking great long term.
Cosmetic tattooing is very tolerable. Most clients describe the sensation as a gentle scratching or tingling. I use numbing products throughout the procedure to keep you comfortable and I’ll check in with you regularly as we go.
I take the time to understand your preferences, lifestyle, and facial features. During your consultation, I’ll guide you through styles and techniques to find the option that suits you best, ensuring your brows, lips, or lash line enhance your natural beauty.
Appointments typically last between 1.5–3 hours depending on the treatment. This includes your consultation, mapping, and the tattooing process itself — giving plenty of time for precision and comfort.
Results generally last 1–3 years. The style and colour chosen, your skin type, and lifestyle can affect longevity. Most clients need a refresh around 18 months to maintain the best results.
I carry a wide range of pigments to suit every skin tone. Together, we’ll test and select the perfect shade that complements your natural features and personal style. For lips, we can even match your favourite lipstick shade.
If you’ve had previous cosmetic tattooing, please send photos via email prior to booking, or book a free consultation. I’ll assess the existing pigment and discuss the best approach for refreshing, enhancing, or correcting your brows, lips, or lash line.
For safety reasons, cosmetic tattooing is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. I’d be happy to discuss options and help you schedule your appointment once it’s safe to proceed.
